Sabah Tourism lists the Keningau Heritage Museum on Jalan Kali in Taman Mahathir, opposite Keningau Perkasa Hotel and about 600 metres from the town centre. The museum is open daily from 9am to 5pm.
Outside town, Sabah Tourism names Crocker Range Park headquarters, Matanoi Hill at Kampung Matanoi Apin Apin, Tamu Keningau market and Eco Yap Farm. Each has its own owner or agency. Ask that body, not only the event host, what photography is allowed for a group.
How do people and crew reach Keningau?
By road. Tung Ma coaches run from Kota Kinabalu towards Keningau and Tenom, and Sabah Tourism lists departures at 8am, 12pm and 4pm, "subject to change". The trip to Tenom via Kimanis and Keningau takes about 3 hours 13 minutes. Long-distance taxis and minibuses also leave Kota Kinabalu for interior towns.
Guests and crew rarely depend on one schedule. If your programme starts early in the morning, a crew that travels on the day carries real risk. Ask whether arriving the evening before is proposed, and what it adds to the quotation.

This changes quotes more than any other question. A crew starting near Keningau and one starting from Kota Kinabalu have different travel time, cost and margin, even for the same event.

Is Keningau close enough to Kota Kinabalu for a same-day trip?
Sabah Tourism lists coaches from Kota Kinabalu to Tenom via Keningau at about three hours, so Keningau is a long drive by road. Whether a same-day trip works depends on your start time and the crew's starting point. We confirm both in writing for your date.
